You’re one of our Brand Ambassadors, part of the Shapermint Crew! What inspired you to join the Crew?

I love the body positivity and empowerment for women behind the brand.

What do you enjoy most about being on the Crew?

I love being part of women's dominant community and having a long-term partnership with such a positive business.

How do you want to shape change with us?

I want to shape change with Shapermint by spreading body positivity and self-love, especially through the things they wear.

How do you define body positivity?

Body positivity to me is accepting and feeling good about all bodies, (especially your own) regardless of size, shape, and skin tone. - Melissa

Self-love is especially important. Do you have any particular rituals or routines that spark self-love?

I like to practice self-love by doing things for myself that truly make me happy, making time to work out and nourish my body with healthy foods.

We absolutely love the fact that you use social media as a liberating force to celebrate body positivity and other movers & shapers out there. Are there any women on social media who inspire you to be your best self?

Yes! I’m a big fan of Desi Perkins, also Paige Arminta, and Josie Bullard for creative content.

How important has stocking up on basics been to you during the quarantine?

It’s been pretty important to stock up on basics since that’s mostly what I’ve been wearing day-to-day.

What are your top tips for breaking out of a fashion/style rut?

Look for inspo all around you. I always find a lot of my fashion inspo from Instagram, Pinterest, and ShopLTK.

What is your favorite Shapermint style? How do you like to style it?

My favorite Shapermint style is definitely the Tear-Proof tights! I love styling them with a cute skirt and booties.
