“Just because your weight may go up, does not mean your value goes down.
My advice to overcome the negative impact that comes with the family critiquing my body would be to speak up and say, “hey, we shouldn’t speak on other people's weight gain or weight loss.”
A lot of times, people, especially in specific cultures are so used to commenting on others’ weight gain, so whenever people do that,I like to speak up and teach them that that’s not OK.”
